• Timber Appraisals

The value of the timber is appraised based on Ron Taylor’s 36 years of field experience. The trees are measured, individual species volume tables are applied and local market stumpage values are computed to give the client the fair market value.  This information is valuable for tax purposes or land value determinations.  Should you decide to sell, RL Taylor Forestry can help the client get the best price and make sure that your trees, land and interests are protected.
  • Forestland Management Plans

Forestland management plans are provided to meet the landowner’s/client’s needs.  For example, this could be a tree farm or stewardship plan to provide a periodic and/or sustainable supply of wood products such as veneer, sawlogs, pulpwood or firewood.  It could mean managing the forestland for improved growth or health and sustainability of resources such as timber, wildlife, water, recreation or aesthetics.
  • Timber Sales Representative

RL Taylor Forestry can help ease the worry and hassles involved with selling timber.  Ron Taylor will work hard to insure that the landowner receives the fair market value for their timber.  RL Taylor Forestry will also guide the client through the timber sales process and serve as a resource for any questions.
  • Timber Sales Layout & Inspections

RL Taylor Forestry is equipped with 30 years of sales layout and inspection experience.  Ron Taylor can help the landowner avoid or mitigate soil and water problems by establishing a timber sales contract with performance requirements and follow-up inspections made to accomplish the harvest in a proper manner.
  • Third-party Certification

Third-party certification assistance is provided in order to help the landowner develop remediation plans to achieve and maintain certifiable forestland products whether this certification is through the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Certified Forest Products Council (CFPC) or SmartWood.
  • Timber Damage Appraisal

If a client suspects that timber was illegally removed from their property or that they have not received full payment for the timber that was removed, RL Taylor Forestry can determine the number of trees, tree species, volume and stumpage value of this timber.  The client will be provided a damage appraisal that covers the damage to timber as well as damage to related resources.  Expert witness testimony can also be provided to the court on your behalf.
