• Experience

    Ron Taylor is a Certified Forester (CF) with the Society of American Foresters.  Ron has over 36 years of forestry experience working with timber inventory, developing field management plans and preparing and selling timber. 

    • As a sells and prescription forester, Ron worked 30 years with the US Forest Service, 25 years of which was in Kentucky.  He designed layout harvest areas with logging access roads, skid trails and logging systems to protect streams and stream zones or riparian areas. 

    From 1970-1976, Ron inventoried trees on private land under the Northeastern Forest Experiment Station, US Forest Service.  Ron worked jointly with landowners and loggers to obtain utilization studies by determining the volume, growth and health of private woodlands throughout Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Maine, Delaware and Pennsylvania. 

    Credentials

    • B.S. degree in Forest Management accredited by the Society of American Foresters. 

    • Memberships:  Society of American Foresters (27 years), Kentucky Woodland Owners Association and Kentucky Forest Industries Association.
